Delivery Helper

Position Summary

The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate job sites, backing, preparing and restoring the job site, and preparing the truck for the following day while maintaining the truck and equipment.

• Compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines, particularly as they relate to OSHA and DOT for the safety of all personnel.
• Perform pre‑trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure order accuracy.
• Safely unload product and deliver it to the assigned area as directed by the customer.
• Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallet on truck.
• Navigate routes to the job site.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate information accurately; stamina to lift at least 75 lbs to carry materials such as drywall and joint compound.

• Must be able to remain standing 90% of the time.
• Must continuously move from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicles onto the job site.
• Must position self to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom.
• Frequently move materials weighing up to 100 lbs while unloading and loading flatbed.
• Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Must work outdoors while making deliveries.
