Now hiring a Front End Load CDL Driver in Axis, AL! Duties include operating a collection truck to provide efficient waste removal services to customers. Ensure the vehicle meets all safety standards prior to operation and adhere to company, state, and federal regulations while driving.

Responsibilities:

Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with company policy, including tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. Report safety issues on standard reports.

Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes and to disposal sites; read route sheets, follow maps, and service each customer as assigned.

Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate compactor, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.

Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely and professional service.

Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per departmental procedures.

Monitor waste for unacceptable waste evidence and clean around accidental waste spills following safety standards.

Maintain the vehicle in operational condition, cleaning waste from the packer blade and truck body as needed.

Complete route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports as required.

Adhere to productivity standards to ensure timely service for all customers.

Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Valid Class B or higher CDL required.
Preferably two years of commercial vehicle operating experience.
Must pass pre-employment DOT drug screening, physical, background check, and have a clean MVR.

Compensation: $22 - $24 hourly
