Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Pay rates from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, with an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking entry-level, part‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes the assigned training.
• Other related duties, as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting as required.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations and on a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance.

Pay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements. First Cash 401(k) program is available to employees 21 years of age or older. Employees must agree to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes.
