The Lead Team Member maintains store standards, assists customers, operates cash registers, stocks, cleans, and provides leadership in the absence of the Store Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader.

• Provides superior customer service to exceed expectations.
• Models product knowledge and selling techniques.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
• Assists in merchandising and rotating products to create eye‑catching displays.
• Completes daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities.
• Ensures store reset and condensation standards are maintained.
• Follows company policies and procedures.
• Operates cash register and processes sales.
• Assists customers with self‑checkout.
• Handles store opening/closing under direction of the Store Team Leader.

Knowledge and Skills

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Cash register operation skills.
• Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures, cashier accountability, and deposit control.

Work Experience and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.

• Frequent walking and standing.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to stock merchandise.
• Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment.
• Frequent lifting up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Occasional climbing of ladders.
• Drive own vehicle to deposit money.
• Fast‑paced environment; moderate noise.
• Occasional exposure to weather, wet floors, cleaning solutions.
