We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our commercial concrete construction team. This role is responsible for ensuring all concrete placement, finishing, and curing activities meet company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, understands commercial concrete processes, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect concrete placement, finishing, and curing on commercial job sites
- Verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Monitor mix designs, slump tests, air content, and cylinder testing as required
- Identify defects or non-conforming work and document findings
- Communicate quality issues to project managers and site supervisors
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified
- Maintain detailed inspection reports and quality documentation
- Enforce safety and quality control procedures on job sites
- Assist with pre-pour and post-pour inspections
- Previous experience in commercial concrete construction or quality control preferred
- Knowledge of concrete materials, placement methods, and testing procedures
- Familiarity with ASTM, ACI, and local building codes (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
Preferred Certifications (a plus, not required):
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician
- PCI, NICET, or similar quality control certifications
