- Provide highly skilled medical care and treatment to patients as assigned by and under the direction of the collaborating physician.
- Assist in diagnoses and therapeutic management of patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Organize and present patient data to supervising physician(s) with recommendations for diagnostic and therapeutic regimens.
- Arrange inpatient admissions and discharges as directed by the supervising physician.
- Perform rounds and record appropriate patient progress notes.
- Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and medical therapy to patients, family members and significant others.
- Order appropriate laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies.
- Administer injections and dispense medications.
- Attend regularly and promptly; work schedule as defined and overtime as required; perform related duties as required.
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (0.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in nursing and completion of an approved nurse practitioner training program; certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a related field; licensure with the state of Alabama as a nurse practitioner and registered nurse.

- Completion of an accredited physician assistant training program approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and licensure with the state of Alabama to practice as a Physician Assistant within two months of employment.
