Job Description
Disassemble, clean, inspect, reassemble, repair, and test aircraft components in accordance with appropriate Component Maintenance Manuals, work instructions, and the FAA.
Responsibilities- Perform all maintenance in accordance with FAA approved data and to the standards of good workmanship as required.
- Keep safety of flight in the forefront at all times in the production of an airworthy product.
- Ensure assigned work area is kept clean and free of hazards to both personnel and the components.
- Follow all necessary safety precautions, including hearing and eye protection, use of chemicals, engine and propeller hazards, and fall protection.
- Accurately and legibly record all information required on internal company forms and aircraft maintenance documents in conformance to company, customer, and FAA requirements.
- Ensure appropriate use of the correct tools for the application and that tooling is serviceable and calibrated when necessary.
- Locate, understand, and implement the appropriate technical data used while performing maintenance.
- Be knowledgeable of painting for aircraft parts, including preparation, painting application, and paint safety.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Component Shop Lead Mechanic.
- 3+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Experience in aircraft component or backshop environments.
- Experience with hydraulics, landing gear, and other aircraft components/parts is strongly preferred.
Skills & Qualifications
- A&P certification is a plus but not required.

Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a hangar and operates on a day shift. Overtime is expected, and the environment emphasizes teamwork and a family-oriented culture.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mobile, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
