Maintenance Millwright Job Description

We are seeking an experienced maintenance millwright. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as manual or laser alignment skills.

• Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair machinery related to the unloading, loading, transfer, and storage of cargo including conveying equipment, pulleys, gearboxes, drag conveyors, structures, hydraulics, ship loader, stacker reclaimer, and various support equipment.
• Read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, build prints, and follow engineering drawings.
• Utilize precision measuring devices both metric and standard including gauges, displays, micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, alignment tools, levels, and torque tools.
• Communicate thoughts and ideas effectively in both verbal and written forms.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude in structures, leverage, metallurgy, fasteners, rotating assemblies, gears, and material strength.
• Operate hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, chain hoists, presses, metal saws, cranes, and rigging equipment.
• Utilize heavy equipment including Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, and Manitowoc.
• Respond to call-outs and work all shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic principles and applications.
• Understanding and application of lubricants and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to perform machinery alignments both manual and laser.
• Proficiency in reading and comprehending technical literature and engineering drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude related to structures, metallurgy, and material strength.
• Skill in using hand tools, air tools, and precision measuring instruments.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mobile, AL.

The pay range for this position is $67600.00 - $87500.00/yr.

Will consider paying per diem while someone is in the process of relocating.

This is a fully onsite position in Mobile,AL.

This position is anticipated to close on Feb 6, 2026.
