Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Fleet Manager to join our Final Assembly Line based in Mobile, AL
. The Industrial Maintenance organization provides corrective and preventative maintenance across a broad range of installed assets and hand tools within the Mobile FAL. Assets include mechanical and electrical CNC machinery, conventional production machinery, Jigs and Tools & Single Aisle Final Assembly Lines (both A320 and A220) and fleet management. Asset age ranges from brand new equipment, up to 10 years old.
The Industrial Maintenance strategy requires enhanced technical support to develop the internal competence to deliver comprehensive asset care.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Fleet Manager will be responsible for ensuring service levels and value for money are realized for the entire fleet of assets within the Mobile Manufacturing Site. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing third‑party service providers, vehicles, drivers and other assets for fleet transportation services, implementing fleet management software, overseeing purchase or lease of all vehicles, and ensuring the program is right‑sized to the needs of the campus.

Your working environment:Nearby on “Airbus Way” you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges:Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the operational day‑to‑day transportation operations for the Mobile Manufacturing Campus, including subcontractor coordination and ensuring adherence to all regulations of local and federal laws concerning the program.
- Maintain an inventory log of all fleet vehicles including ground support equipment, mobile air conditioning carts, mobile aircraft ground power units, golf carts and other means of transportation.
