Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled Offset Press Operator to join our production team and help deliver high-quality printed materials that exceed customer expectations. If you’re experienced with offset presses, take pride in your work, and enjoy working in a team environment where every detail matters, this could be a great fit.
You will coordinate the entire offset production department and collaborate with other team members to prioritize and execute printing projects, maintain equipment, and uphold safety protocols. This is a hands‑on role that plays a key part in keeping our production floor running smoothly.
What You’ll DoOffset Press Operations
- Set up and operate offset printing equipment according to production specs
- Monitor print jobs for quality and color consistency
- Perform regular maintenance and minor troubleshooting to reduce downtime
- Operate bindery equipment and assist with finishing and packaging as needed
- Review and execute digital work orders accurately
- Record job specs, quantities, and production times
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with the Production Manager and team to prioritize and schedule print jobs
- Communicate clearly with Customer Service Reps, Sales, and teammates to ensure jobs run smoothly
- Help guide and support the offset team in daily production efforts
- Provide status updates and flag issues early to keep production on track
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations set forth by OSHA to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
Equipment & Supplies
- Maintain press equipment and work areas following established maintenance procedures
- Monitor and manage inventory of inks, paper, and press supplies
- Notify supervisor of equipment issues and coordinate vendor repairs when needed
- Assist in placing supply orders and tracking usage
Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience operating offset printing presses
- High school diploma or GED required
- Mechanical aptitude and good problem‑solving skills
- Strong understanding of printing processes and quality standards
- Ability to read rulers, follow instructions, and do basic math
- Comfortable with maintenance tasks and equipment troubleshooting
Qualities and Attributes:
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality
- Positive attitude and strong team player
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Able to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
- Periodic overtime may be required
- Exposure to ink, cleaning chemicals, and airborne particles
- Moderate to loud noise levels
- Well‑lit, air‑conditioned production space
- Pay rate: (based on experience)
