Warehouse Manager

Overview

The Gulf Distributing Company of Mobile is seeking a Warehouse Manager. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all day to day operations of the warehouse. Manage and work with all departments including receiving, replenishment, inventory and load crew.

Pushes/pulls pallets and loads and unloads appropriate company products (approximately 20 to 50 lbs. per case). Climbing on and off forklifts is required.

• Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure proper and timely loading of route trucks on a daily basis.
• Check and prevent any discrepancies in daily inventory while understanding all functions of “Location Based Inventory” and “Case Picking” systems.
• Require every Delivery Driver and/or salesman to be checked-in and out immediately upon his exit or return to the warehouse using the route accounting software equipment such as an iPhone; this includes the counting of all returned product, empties, pallets, and carts.
• Ensure repack area is maintained to company and supplier standards.
• Ensure all KOI’s and ad hoc/reporting is submitted in a timely manner.
• Investigate all accidents occurring on shift or as needed using the “Pronto” forms software.
• Supervise unloading and loading of all internal and external transports.
• Ensure all cooperage, empties, and pallets are returned to the suppliers and the paperwork is completed in a correct and timely manner.
• Control and manage fleet of warehouse equipment through proper maintenance and required documentation.
• Oversees and reviews proper documentation for all performance evaluations, notices/employee warnings, status reports, and review all terminations for proper procedure before forwarding to Human Resource Manager and Operations Manager.
• Manage labor and payroll while adhering to a monthly and annual budget previously set forth.
• Ensure Safety Plus records and GDH Safety Programs are updated into Safety Plus software.
• Maintain building and premises to OSHA standards.
• Adapt to any new responsibilities or duties required by the Operations Manager.
