- Support the department in implementing quality initiatives including maintenance of clinical registries and monitoring of quality and outcome measures.
- Work with leadership and medical providers to address quality or safety deficits.
- Assist in the development and oversight of clinical medical staff credentials, competencies, and performance remediation.
- Participate in the hiring and disciplinary process as appropriate.
- Develop and monitor quality assurance programs and initiatives to facilitate performance improvements in line with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements for PCMH level 3 certification.
- Oversight of Patient Satisfaction data and collaboration with vendors to improve strategies.
- Develop strategic and tactical plans for short and long-term business planning with accountability for objectives.
- Assist in designing and implementing information systems to support business plans.
- Initiate health status evaluations, clinical pathways, and screening tools for high-risk patients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the DFM Patient Advocate and Peer Review Programs and report findings to leadership.
- Guide the development and implementation of a population healthcare plan and training programs for chronic disease management.
- Maintain professional relationships with faculty, residents, and specialty colleagues to improve quality metrics and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Oversee the training and orientation of clinical support staff.
- Maintain a clinical practice alongside supervisory duties.
- Family Medicine Board Certified.
- Must hold or be eligible for a State of Alabama medical license.
