Clinical Dietitian – Compass One Healthcare

Location:

Kern Medical Hospital, Bakersfield, CA

Schedule:

Monday–Friday with rotating weekend shifts; semi‑remote (4 days onsite/1 day remote)

Requirement:
Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

Position Details: A dedicated dietician role in an acute‑care teaching hospital with 222 beds, offering advanced trauma care between Fresno and Los Angeles. The position includes cross‑coverage in the NICU.

Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 per year
Sign‑on bonus: $10,000
Relocation assistance available

• Provides medical nutrition therapy, including nutrition assessment, diet modification, education, and intervention for the patient population
• Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual
• Complies with all regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies, and adheres to HIPAA and patient rights policies
• Trains and mentors patient services staff and interns as applicable
• Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility‑wide quality assurance/performance improvement programs

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, where required
• One (1) year of hospital experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, electronic medical record systems, diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
