Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

First Four Group, the Gulf Coast's preeminent source for specialized financial recruitment, is currently seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for our client, a prominent private equity organization with a portfolio of vertically integrated companies within the defense sector. This onsite role requires both superior FP&A experience, a keen operationally focused mind, as well as the ability to work with senior portfolio company leadership as well as senior leadership at the parent company level.

The succesful candidate will possess the following educational requirements, professional experience, and skills competancies:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required - Masters prefered
• Greater than 7 years experience in an FP&A role or corporate finance role
• Demonstrated experience developing KPI's that lead to more accurate forecasting and more insightful analysis of performance variances.
• Quantifiable experience building and maintaining financial models that support strategic planning, scenario analysis, and business cases
• Experience analyzing monthly results against budget, forecasts, as well as providing clear commentary and insights to leadership
• Strong software skills including the ability to extact financial and operational data from disparate sources (ERP) - Advanced Excel skills are essential, Power
  
  BI strongly preferred
• Proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership
• Experience with private equity, defense contracting (maritime), or large industrial construction projects is highly preferred

The role will report to the Director, FP&A at the parent company-level and will interface with the portfolio company President as well as the portfolio company Controller.
