Electrical Controls Engineer

Job Summary

Design, implement and maintain complex automation, controls, and electrical systems for industrial and commercial.

• Software Development and configuration of Plant DCS and PLC systems on new Capital Projects
• Support of plant optimization efforts requiring modification to control systems
• Responsible for maintenance and upgrades to plant control systems
• Control loop design, selection and sizing of instruments and control equipment
• Help support plant electrical and power distribution systems

• In depth knowledge of and experience designing/maintaining industrial control systems.
• In‑depth knowledge of and experience designing industrial electrical systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to effectively interface with production groups
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Project), AutoCAD, Easy Power or related software preferred.
• Desired system experience:
  Yokogawa Centum VP, Rockwell Automation products, Melsec PLC, Siemens PLC’s

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in industrial controls or equivalent combination of experience and education.
