Are you an engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and driving reliability in critical systems? This is your opportunity to be the go‑to expert for electrical distribution at a dynamic production site. As an Electrical Engineer II
, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining, upgrading, and future‑proofing our extensive power infrastructure. From managing small capital projects to leading system improvements, you'll ensure our operations stay safe, efficient, and reliable.
- Be the site's electrical authority - plan and oversee maintenance, upgrades, and electrical outages (switch gear, breakers, substations).
- Drive reliability engineering initiatives - analyze failures, implement corrective actions, and optimize system performance.
- Lead capital projects - from concept to completion, balancing budgets, compliance, and innovation.
- Supervise and mentor contractors and technicians, ensuring safety‑first practices (Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout).
- Champion SCADA & smart technology - supporting and upgrading our Energy Data Information System (EDIS) for better monitoring and efficiency.
- Share your expertise by training plant teams on new electrical technologies and safety standards.
- Keep us future‑ready with strategic plans for system expansions, digital upgrades, and reliability improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years of hands‑on electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License in Alabama (preferred).
- Proven expertise with power distribution systems (480V‑12.47kV), preventive maintenance, and power quality assessments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards (Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout).
- Experience managing budgets, contractors, and engineering teams
. - Familiarity with SCADA systems, power meters, and relay programming.
- Leadership skills with the ability to influence, train, and inspire others.
- Ownership & Impact: You'll lead critical projects and shape the reliability of a large‑scale electrical distribution system.
