Structural Engineer; PE

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Professional Engineer to join our client in the engineering and industrial design industry. This role will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from two major projects to up to five active engagements. The PE will lead foundation and steel design efforts, including shallow foundations for dry environments and deep foundations for muddy or swampy conditions. Responsibilities include performing structural calculations using RISA, Tekla, or hand calculations, reviewing and approving design documents, and ensuring compliance with building codes and project specifications.

The engineer will collaborate closely with designers and junior engineers, provide conceptual solutions to complex problems, and oversee resubmittal processes. This position requires strong technical expertise, adaptability, and the ability to deliver high-quality results across diverse industrial projects.

• Minimum 6 years of engineering experience, including 2+ years as a licensed PE
• Strong foundation and steel design expertise (shallow and deep foundations)
• Proficiency in structural design calculations using RISA, Tekla, or hand calculations
• Competence in MS Office Suite and prior AutoCAD experience
• At least some industrial project experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (2–5 projects at a time)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Revit experience
• Experience with conceptual problem-solving and adapting to changing priorities
