What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement:
High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience as a Treatment Plant Operator I or Pretreatment Specialist I
- Must be certified in water or wastewater treatment by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM)
- Valid driver's license from state of residence
- Certifications required vary by jurisdiction; specific Grade Certificates may be necessary
