About the Job
We invite applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Music in Clarinet, starting August 15, 2026.
Location:
Mobile, Alabama
- Teach clarinet courses at the collegiate level.
- Recruit and mentor applied clarinet students.
- Maintain an active schedule of performances and scholarship.
- Participate in clarinet-related organizations.
- Earned terminal degree (DMA, PhD, or DM) in clarinet performance or equivalent field; ABDs near completion considered.
- Artist-level performing skills on clarinet.
- Ability to successfully teach the instrument.
- Significant regional and national performance experience.
- Active involvement in clarinet-related organizations.
