This Parking Lot Attendant position is committed to providing world‑class service for the Mobile Convention Center for all events and is responsible for the protection, outdoor protection and safeguarding of guests, employees and their vehicles. The role requires physical activity including standing, walking and climbing stairs, and is designed to make a positive first impression with world‑class service.

Hourly rate: $13.00–$15.00.

The Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center is a spectacular facility providing excellent meeting accommodations. It features 317,000 gross square feet, including a 100,000 square‑foot exhibit hall, and a unique design with terraces for outdoor functions and breathtaking views of the Mobile River.

• Control/monitor entry to the guests’ and employees’ parking lots.
• Provide all guests with a positive first impression by offering world‑class service.
• Monitor parking lots for safety and security of guests, employees and vehicles.
• Provide guests with directions and other venue information.
• Direct guests and employees to available parking spaces.
• Maximize the number of vehicles per lot.
• Respond to all comments/complaints promptly, courteously and professionally.
• Handle cash: collect cash and/or coupons and maintain security of cash.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance during all scheduled shifts.

• Prior parking experience strongly preferred.
• Customer service and cash handling abilities are a must.
• Must be polite, friendly and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work various hours as needed, including nights and weekends.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and walk long distances.
• Ability to work outdoors with extreme heat and weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to visually observe close, distance, and peripheral areas.
