Assistant Pre-Construction Manager

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Assistant Pre‑Construction Manager to support our pre‑construction team in the preparation and coordination of construction projects. This role is critical in managing subcontractor relationships, preparing bid packages, and ensuring smooth project transitions from pre‑construction to construction phases. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of construction estimating and procurement processes.

• Prepare Invitations to Bid (ITBs) for various trade packages and ensure timely distribution to qualified subcontractors
• Manage subcontractor engagement throughout the pre‑construction process, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication
• Prepare comprehensive pre‑qualification packages for subcontractors, ensuring all necessary documentation and requirements are clearly outlined
• Organize and file subcontractor bids leading up to and on bid day, maintaining accurate records and ensuring all submissions are properly documented
• Manage subcontractor pre‑qualifications, reviewing submissions, verifying credentials, and maintaining an up‑to‑date database of qualified trade partners
• Perform light estimating duties including quantity takeoffs, cost comparisons, and preliminary budget analysis

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Construction/Science, or similar field (preferred)
• 2-4 years of experience in construction, estimating, or pre‑construction coordination is highly preferred
• Familiarity with commercial construction processes and terminology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with construction estimating software (Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe, or similar platforms)
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• A basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications
