Safety Specialist II

This position is vital for supporting environmental, safety, and health compliance initiatives across the region.

What you will do:

• Field Compliance Inspections: Assist in conducting field compliance inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Compliance Training: Assist with the facilitation and management of compliance training programs.
• Travel: Travel throughout the region to conduct inspections and investigate incidents.
• Job Task Training: Verify and assist with the completion of all required job task training at the crew level.
• Training Documentation: Provide records of completed training for data entry into the Learning Management System.

What you will need: (minimum qualifications)

• Education:
• High School Diploma (required)
• Certifications:
• Completion of OSHA 30
• Completion of OSHA 500 or 501
• Experience:
• 2-3 years of safety experience in construction or general industry (required)
• Other Requirements:
• Willingness to travel
• Availability to work days, nights, and weekends
• Organizing and Prioritizing: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality in all safety and compliance matters.
• Judgment: Exercise sound judgment in all safety-related decisions.
• Information Management: Proficient in managing and utilizing information effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Deadline Management: Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills.
• Public Speaking: Comfortable with public speaking and conducting presentations.
