General Service/Lube Tech

Sun Auto Tire & Service offers a full‑service auto center role for a General Service Technician, performing non‑technical repairs such as oil changes, tire and wheel related services, alignments, flushes, and more. You will work alongside ASE Certified Automotive Technicians and receive training to advance to a certified ASE automotive technician.

$13‑$16/hr, varying depending on experience.

• Safely transports customers to and from their place of residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, and tires from vendors or corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle safely, obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections in an ethical manner following all company and state guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services under the direction of the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Observes general vehicle condition during basic services and reports any needed repairs or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager, documenting via the company’s multi‑point inspection or repair order.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop, service area, tire racks, showroom, and surrounding building.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns.

• Previous automotive experience preferred, but energetic and hard‑working individuals with a passion for cars are encouraged to apply.
• High level of motivation and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work Monday‑Saturday.
• Valid driver’s license and must pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) screening.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
