Staff Accountant

Jet Services is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Mobile, AL. This role supports the accounting operations behind our private jet charter, aircraft management, and aircraft maintenance divisions.

This position combines daily bookkeeping responsibilities with staff-level accounting functions, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close support. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

• Process accounts payable for charter operations, aircraft management expenses, and maintenance vendor invoices
• Manage accounts receivable including charter trip invoicing, management fees, and customer collections
• Record daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records
• Perform bank, credit card, and vendor statement reconciliations
• Assist with financial tracking of Part 135 charter revenue and trip-related costs
• Support charter billing including fuel, landing fees, catering, and other trip-related expenses
• Assist with monthly aircraft owner billing and operating expense tracking
• Maintain records of maintenance-related costs and vendor invoices
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities
• Support preparation of internal financial reports for management review

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Experience with accounting software (Quick Books, Sage, or similar)
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and reconciliations
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Experience in aviation, charter operations, or aircraft management accounting
• Familiarity with tracking expenses by aircraft or job/project costing
• Experience supporting month-end close and owner/customer billing
