Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role works closely with the accounting and finance team to support day-to-day operations and financial reporting.

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Maintain organized financial documentation and records

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Experience in the Waste industry Preferred
