Accountant, Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

Our client in Mobile, AL is looking to add an Accountant to their team right away. This role will assist with daily accounting activities, including financial transactions, recordkeeping, AP/AR processing, general ledger reconciliations, and audit support. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, well organized, and have a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals.

• Preparing month-end closing reports
• Create accruals and other closing journal entries.
• Analyze and reconcile accounts payable ledgers and accounts receivable ledgers.
• Performs bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations
• Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
• Maintain all accounting related files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of experience
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
