Technician, Makerspace Lab

The Makerspace Lab Technicians will be assembling and installing the equipment, storage units, and furniture for MACCLab, the MACC makerspace. This is a temporary part-time position.

• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written instructions and manuals
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to utilize common hand tools in a safe manner
• Open to learning and working with new software and equipment
• Ability to understand and follow safety requirements for equipment
• Experience with assembling items from written instructions

• Maintain and support the day-to-day operations of the makerspace and its technologies;
• Maintain the lab software and hardware, ensuring they are clean, safe and ready for operation;
• Perform equipment maintenance when appropriate and alert the Makerspace Coordinator if the need for a specific service call arises;
• Coordinate with computer services when necessary.
