Position: Instructor, Adult Education & Literacy (Part-Time)
Overview
This position will be responsible for teaching the high school equivalency curriculum to adult classes to prepare students to obtain a high school equivalency certificate. Class days and times vary depending on location.

This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and the ability to become certified by the State of Missouri to teach Adult Education & Literacy. Fingerprinting through MACHS required for certification. Must attend the Pre-Certification and Introduction to Teaching Adults Workshops within three months of hire date.
The part-time AEL Instructor shall:
Attend at least 20 hours of approved professional development trainings per fiscal year;Attend local and state professional development workshops;Maintain daily hours worked in the ezLabor
Manager system;Provide site coordinator and/or director with all required records and reports;Assist in selection and development of instructional materials;Develop and maintain community awareness and contacts for AEL Program;Execute systematic recruitment and follow-up plans for AEL students;Develop and provide individualized program of learning for each student;Direct, guide, and evaluate student progress;Cooperate and assist the AEL Advocate in providing guidance and referral information to students for needed services, job information, and additional educational or vocational information;Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the AEL Program, the Dean of Workforce Development and Technical Education or as designated by the President.#J-18808-Ljbffr
