Mitchell & Danoff, a rapidly expanding Personal Injury law firm with multiple offices across California’s Central Coast and Central Valley, values efficiency and innovation. We are currently seeking one or two ambitious law clerks for a hybrid role in Legal Operations and Civil Litigation support.

This role is unique because, in addition to the traditional responsibilities of civil litigation law clerks, such as drafting briefs and conducting discovery, we are seeking someone to assist in building processes, automating workflows, and leveraging technology to enhance the firm’s efficiency.
This position is based out of our Madera office, but offers significant flexibility with options to work remotely.
Key Responsibilities- Legal Work:
Conduct legal research, draft demand letters, pleadings, and discovery responses. - Systems & Automation:
Identify repetitive administrative tasks and create automated solutions or standard operating procedures (SOPs) to handle them. - Tech Integration:
Utilize AI tools and modern software to streamline case management and settlements negotiations. - Process Improvement:
Help support new process and systems creations related to the firm's files and data to ensure smoother operations for the attorneys.
- Current enrollment in an ABA or CBA-accredited law school (preferably 2L or 3L but exceptional 1L fits will be considered).
- Tech-Forward:
You are comfortable using AI (LLMs), automation tools are a plus (e.g., Zapier, Make), or no-code platforms to solve problems. - Systems Thinker:
You enjoy organizing chaos and creating logical, repeatable processes. - Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
