Compensation
Compensation for this position is expected to range between $29.75 and $30.25 per hour
, in alignment with what California Baptist University (CBU) reasonably anticipates paying for this role. The final rate may vary depending on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and prevailing market conditions. In addition to competitive wages, CBU provides a comprehensive and generous benefits package to eligible employees.
Serves as the Dispatcher for Aviation Science, collaborating closely with the Director of Flight Operations, Chief Flight Instructor, and Director of Maintenance. Ensures the smooth execution of daily Flight Operations by managing Talon ETA, including creating and adjusting day‑to‑day schedules. Also provides administrative support to maintain the overall efficiency of the Aviation Science Department.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises staff and fulfills all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Duties include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; administering disciplinary actions; and addressing concerns while effectively resolving workplace issues.

- Communicates clearly and accurately both orally and in writing.
- Maintains effective communication with the Flight Operations Supervisor/Chief Pilot regarding flight operations, Talon ETA updates, and maintenance discrepancies (squawks).
