We are looking for a retail part‑time driver to deliver parts internally between our warehouse and dealerships!

  • Schedule: Wednesday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • Compensation: $17.00 per hour

What do our parts drivers do?
  • Safely deliver auto parts between stores (comfortable in all types of weather).
  • Safely load and unload parts for delivery (must be able to lift 75 lbs).
  • Stock inventory in the Chevrolet store.
  • General housekeeping for the retail parts departments.
  • Assist the team as needed (may need to up parts from another dealership or deliver to a customer in rare circumstances).

POSITION SUMMARY

The Parts Driver is responsible for pickup and delivery of parts and other items for the complex. Primary objective s include ensuring customer satisfaction and retention and assuring the right part(s) are delivered – undamaged – the first time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Safely load parts onto the truck and deliver them to customers and vendors.
  • Pick up return parts and equipment from customers and vendors, noting any damage, and return them safely to the dealership.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the parts truck and ensure regular maintenance is performed (oil changes, inspections, etc.).
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Promote Hoselton as the dealership of choice for our customers' automotive needs.
  • Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner.
  • Provide accurate delivery estimates.
  • Collect necessary funds or signatures upon delivery.
  • Communicate any customer complaints/concerns back to the dealership so that they can be dealt with promptly.
  • Provide clear and legible records for both customer and dealership use.
  • Obey all traffic laws and be a courteous driver at all times.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Stand, walk, sit.
  • Bend, kneel, squat.
  • Lift heavy objects weighing 75 lbs.
  • Visual acuity to inspect and operate motor vehicles as well as for documentation accuracy.
  • Overall ability to operate a vehicle.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Moderate noise and vibration.
  • Moderate exposure to fumes (e.g., exhaust fumes).
  • Extreme exposure to moving vehicles.
  • Moderate heat and/or cold.
  • Use computers and office equipment as part of daily functions.
