Join Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA)’s Engineering and Program Delivery (EPD) Division as a Senior Transportation Engineer – Utilities and lead the planning and execution of major utility and transit infrastructure projects that keep our region moving.
What You’ll Be Doing:Under direction, youjähr have charge of varied and difficult engineering work involving the supervision of a professional transportation engineering staff engaged in a variety of activities, such as the planning and design of transportation systems and facilities, the operation of transit systems, special studies or services, and other transportation projects.
The Ideal CandidateVTA’s Engineering and Program Delivery Division is looking for a candidate with significant experience in project delivery, with specific focus on existing and new utility service and/or relocation of service. This position is expected to manage, mentor and train team members that support the delivery of projects with regards to third‑party utilities as well as municipal water, sewer and storm drain systems.
The candidate should have the experience and capability to review plans from third‑party utilities, including deliverables from VTA designers, to ensure the design meets local, state and federal requirements.
