Salary: Based on experience.
Job SummaryTo transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Functions- Drives school buses on assigned routes in a safe and orderly manner in accordance with state regulations and district policy.
- Performs required operational and pre-trip safety inspections of vehicles and related equipment.
- Washes, cleans, and fuels buses as required.
- Maintains control of student passengers as related to safety. Reports unsafe acts or conditions which require the attention of any person other than the driver.
- Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Shall possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a Missouri School Bus Driver’s Permit.
- Must be in satisfactory physical condition.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, the ability to adjust and focus and depth perception. Specific auditory abilities required include normal conversation and the ability to isolate voices in multiple conversations.
Work Environment / ConditionsThe work environment includes the school bus and transportation depot.
Equipment / Tools / Materials UsedCommunication device provided on the bus.

Terms of EmploymentAssigned to 188-day work calendar; hours per day vary; compensation and benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life) as provided by the Board of Education.
