Personal Trainer - Rollingwood YMCA

Overview

YMCA of Superior California is a community-centric association committed to inspiring all to a healthy life in spirit, mind and body. We are looking for a dedicated certified instructor who can teach multiple training formats including private training, small group training, and group exercise classes. Sub openings vary within these times:
Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

• Responsible for coaching within our Group Fitness department with assistance from the Health & Wellness management.
• Perform traditional Fitness Coach duties including, but not limited to conducting assessments, attending monthly meetings, and designing class workouts for small-medium groups.
• Consult with new members regarding fitness goals and aspirations.
• Meet sales and service initiatives by creating consumer demand for fitness services.
• Establish clientele through developing meaningful relationships with members and providing outstanding service.

• Be competent teaching dynamic warm-up and flexibility drills.
• Demonstrate competency of training techniques, including strength and conditioning formats.
• Be eager to learn and accepting of constructive feedback.
• Must be comfortable interacting with clients, children, parents, etc.
• Display positive demeanor towards members, guests and staff.
• Present yourself in a manner that will reinforce your status as a role model for our members.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current nationally recognized certification or college degree in a related field from an accredited university.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (within 60 days of employment).
• Previous sales/customer relations experience preferred, not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• 1 year of CPT experience preferred.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Group Exercise experience preferred.
