VALT Health is building the future of health tracking: an any‑device health intelligence layer that turns raw data into actionable insights.
We’ve only been in this structure for ~2 months, but we’re already scaling fast.
We’re looking for college students (or the rare high school student who is ridiculously skilled) who want to continue helping build our company and receive a significant ownership role.
Location:
Remote-friendly. That said, the openness to move to the Bay Area during the summer for in‑person collaboration is strongly preferred.
Ambitious college students or anyone exceptionally skilled
Commitment~25 hours/week (multi-year commitment preferred).
Equity1% — 2.5% (role/experience dependent).
CompensationEquity‑only for at least the first 6 months (then equity + cash as we grow).

Responsibilities- Train models to predict anomalies in user health data based on our internal bio research
- Build our AI/ML architecture for scalability and ease of development
- Design, train, and evaluate models for vision, language, and numerical tasks (eg. CNNs, transformer‑based NLP)
- Improve model accuracy, robustness, and latency through data curation and heavy optimization.
- Deep understanding of core machine learning models and architectures.
- Proven experience building and deploying models on real‑world datasets.
- Strong grounding in optimization techniques for performance and reliability.
- Experience with Agentic workflow
- langchain/langraph
- Knowledge of RAG systems.
- Demonstrated AI security and safety practices
- MCP‑style modular tool architecture
