Job Description
** Summary Description The Mobile Home Repair Technician supports Community First Construction’s mission by performing repairs, renovations, and maintenance on manufactured homes across assigned communities. This role ensures homes are safe, functional, and ready for residents or clients by completing a wide range of construction, repair, and troubleshooting tasks.
Essential Duties:
* Skirting installation and repair
* Deck construction and repair
* LVP flooring installation
* Basic plumbing troubleshooting and repair
* Interior painting (walls and ceilings)
* Underbelly installation, troubleshooting, and repair
* Meeting deadlines assigned by the supervisor
* Coordinating with team members to prepare for and complete assigned community projects
Additional Duties:
* Cabinet and counter top repair or replacement
* Sink base and faucet replacement
* Subfloor repair
* Vinyl siding repair
* Wall patching and resurfacing
* Trim repair
* Power washing
* Roof repairs and cool sealing
* Interior, exterior, and storm door replacement
* Doorjamb and casing repair
* Light fixture replacement
* Window and window casing repair or replacement
* Hot water heater replacement
* Making effective decisions when multiple repair options exist
* Operating a personal or company vehicle to pick up supplies or complete off site tasks
* Providing regular updates to the supervisor to keep projects aligned with goals
* Following all company policies and procedures
* Delivering exceptional customer service and communicating professionally with internal and external partners
* Employee shall devote all of his/her working time, attention, knowledge, and skills to Employer's business interests and shall do so in good faith, with best efforts, and to the reasonable satisfaction of the Employer.
* Maintaining regular and predictable attendance
* Maintaining a safe work environment through safe practices and prompt reporting of hazards
* Performing other duties as assigned or as commonly required in similar roles
Physical Demands and Working Conditions/Environment
* Travel will be required in the assigned area, must have personal transportation.
* Must be able to work 5 days per week M through F, typically 8a to 5p, supervisor will confirm schedule.
* Capable of working up to 8+ hours a day, with occasional longer days if needing to meet a deadline or needing an after hours meeting.
* Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 100+ lbs with or without assistance.
* Must be able to operate a vehicle, stand for long periods of time with regular breaks, may need to climb, crawl, bend or crouch.
* Management reserves the right to revise this position description as necessary.
* If an hourly employee, employee will need to take any unpaid meal breaks or paid breaks per applicable laws.
* Additional physical demands include: being outside/walking across communities in various weather conditions, on foot for an extended period of time, walking up and down stairs, climbing ladder.
