We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to support residential and light commercial projects in Birmingham, AL. This full-time position is ideal for a hands‑on professional experienced in installing heating and cooling systems while maintaining high standards for safety, efficiency, and workmanship.
As part of a growing team in Birmingham, you will be responsible for complete system installations, from equipment placement to startup and performance testing. This role offers stable year‑round work, advancement opportunities, and continued technical development within the HVAC trade.
Key Responsibilities- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, duct systems, and related HVAC components
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications
- Complete system startups, testing, and commissioning procedures
- Ensure installations comply with local building codes and safety standards
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to maintain jobsite efficiency
- Maintain clean, organized work spaces and protect customer property
- Identify and resolve installation issues in the field
- Provide customers with guidance on system operation and maintenance
- Minimum 2+ years of residential or light commercial HVAC installation experience
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, airflow principles, and installation practices
- Ability to interpret technical documents and electrical schematics
- EPA certification required (additional certifications preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined or elevated spaces
