Skilled Carpenter Helper – Contract Position (Salt Spring Island) - ready to hire right away!

Isabella Point Rd area (near the Ecological Reserve, close to Mt. Tuam)

Duration:
Approx. 3–4 months (through end of April / early May)
Pay: $25–$35/hour based on experience and skill level
Potential Extension:
Opportunity to transition into landscape construction work with Sol Construction (on-island)

We are looking for a strong, capable, team-oriented carpenter helper with multiple years of hands-on experience to assist in completing a beautiful modern architectural home we are building for ourselves.

We are professionals in the building industry with over 20 years of experience and take pride in running organized, respectful, high-quality job sites.

This is a contract position that will conclude when the house is completed, with potential opportunity for continued work in landscape construction.

This is not an entry-level position. You should already be comfortable on a job site and able to work efficiently without constant supervision.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Physically strong and healthy
• Reliable and punctual
• Detail-oriented
• Experienced with tools and basic carpentry tasks
• Able to take direction and also anticipate next steps
• Organized and respectful of a clean job site
• Positive, solution-oriented, and easy to work with
• A non-smoker (no smoking onsite)
• Has reliable transportation

You should have multiple years of carpentry or construction experience and be comfortable assisting with finishing-level work.

We are building a thoughtful, modern architectural home and are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys being part of a well‑run project.
