Topa Group, Inc. is partnering up with a Fire Protection company seeking a Lead Fire Alarm Technician.

Job Title: Lead Fire Alarm Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the installation, inspection, testing, and service of commercial fire alarm systems in compliance with NFPA codes and local AHJ requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor fire alarm technicians and apprentices on project sites.
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and clients to ensure work is completed on time and within specifications.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and repair systems from major manufacturers (e.g., Notifier, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, Siemens, EST, Honeywell, etc.).
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
  • Assist in job layout, materials ordering, and site planning.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians.
  • Perform final system testing and participate in commissioning and AHJ inspections.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in fire alarm installation, service, and troubleshooting.
  • NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable building and electrical codes.
  • Experience leading a crew or managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening.
