Summary We are seeking a dedicated, entry level diesel mechanic to join our repair team. In this role, you'll maintain and repair heavy-duty diesel engines and other vital systems. The ideal candidate will be currently attending or have graduated from a Diesel Certification Program. Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, D.O.T inspections, and fluid top-offs.
• Handle repairs and replacements of components like radiators, alternators, turbochargers, sensors, starters, DPF systems, and HVAC systems.
• Manage fifth wheel repairs, rebuilds, and transmission work, including clutches, drive shafts, and axle shafts.
• Maintain clear communication with management regarding repair statuses, safety issues, and parts inventory.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained according to factory specifications and comply with all federal and state DOT regulations.
• Conduct test drives to verify the effectiveness of repairs and respond to road calls for on-site repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred.
• No minimum years of experience in diesel mechanic roles. Must be concurrently enrolled in a Diesel Certification Program or be willing to enroll.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work in various physical conditions.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Essential tools will be provided.

Shift Schedule

• part-time/ full-time work available depending on school schedule
• Expected to work at least 25 hours
• Days worked will vary based on school schedule.
