M. Braun, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Service Technician in California to join our Service Department. This person will be responsible for installing and servicing M. Braun products in the California and surrounding area as well as some travel throughout the United States and Canada. Travel to other areas of the US and Canada occur as needed.

Higher earning potential possible based on candidate qualifications. Experience is preferred, but early career candidates with mechanical or electrical knowledge and a high level of professionalism will be considered.

• Installing new systems at customer sites and training users on system operation.
• Maintaining and repairing existing systems and troubleshooting problems.
• Effectively performing customer technical support functions onsite and remotely.
• Establishing and maintaining professional working relations with customers.
• Promptly and courteously resolving questions, requests, and problems.
• Creating customer quotes for spare parts and service.
• Maintaining the Company’s professional reputation by providing superior customer service.
• Completing required documentation including installation reports, expense reports, and travel approval forms.

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat a plus, but not required.
• Travel in California and the surrounding area required. Travel throughout the U.S. and Canada as needed.
• Travel approximately 75-80% of the time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly.

In addition to the above requirements some or all of the following would be useful to the applicant during the application process, training, and in the field:

• Working knowledge of control systems and PLC’s. Ability to program PLC’s is not required.
• Experience with vacuum systems.
• Experience with gas and fluid systems.
• Experience with temperature control (heating and cooling).

High School Diploma; additional technical training or relevant experience is required.

• Physical Requirement: Balancing; climbing; bending; stooping; crawling; some light, moderate, heavy lifting and carrying; must have fine motor skills; be able to grasp small items; kneeling; pushing; reaching above shoulder; pulling hand over hand; ability to do a repetitive motion; and the ability to sit, stand and walk for most of the day.
