Body Shop Technician

Location: Strafford

The Larson Group Peterbilt is looking for an experienced Body Shop Technician to join our dynamic team. This position performs all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck body repair mechanic under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

* Performs mechanical/body repairs on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components, while maintaining a high level of quality.

* Work with and train new technicians as directed.

* Follow safety rules and company policies always.

* Communicate to Foreman parts that are not available for repairs.

* Disassemble truck and evaluate parts list/estimate to have all parts needed to complete repair.

* Record in detail, description of all trouble shooting and/or repair steps, results of repairs made and any other information about repair. Accurately record in Paccar Solutions or CDK.

* Save all warrantable parts. Tag, wash, box and turn in to correct location. Labeling with repair order number, S/N, customer name and date.

* Maintain a clean and safe work area. Clean tools used and return them to their proper location.

* Maintain a low number of comebacks, customer vehicle functions properly after repair.

* Advise the following shift's technicians with any special instructions or concerns you found when repairing truck.

* Maintain efficiency and productivity goals set forth by Body Shop Manager.

* Maintain training required to perform duties, as set forth by manager.

* Perform other duties and repairs as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Should possess a High School diploma.

* A college degree or a certificate or degree from a trade school is preferred, but not required.

* Experience in a related field is preferred but not required.

* Basic computer skills.
