Plan, layout, install, test, and repair wiring on streetlights and private area lights electrical fixtures in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Use appropriate hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble and install electrical conduits; weld supports; install cable; make terminations in accordance with required color codes and specifications; pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures; install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays and circuit‑breaker panels; install grounding leads; splice wire by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twist or solder wire together and apply tape or terminal caps;
work with high and low voltage systems; test and start up systems; test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope; and install all other related items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications. - Participate in all safety related processes and programs as requested. Engage with the work team to ensure zero injuries and report hazards to supervisors or safety professionals.
- Report all accidents and near misses to supervisor and participate in investigation processes as needed.
- Participate in pre‑job work planning and safety discussions; identify safety hazards and take corrective action to eliminate or mitigate them.
- Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and warning devices.
- Follow lockout tag out procedures and attend site specific training.
- Follow established safety rules and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Use effective verbal and written communication skills and maintain high math proficiency for on‑job calculations.
- Listen to co‑workers suggestions, safety concerns, and recommendations; provide feedback when appropriate.
- Coordinate work with other crafts and co‑workers on the job.
- Provide on‑the‑job training and/or mentoring to helpers and laborers.
- Produce quality work, meeting plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Read and understand plans and specifications, including diagrams and schedules; visualize drawings in three dimensions.
- Inspect helper's work for compliance and provide corrective guidance.

Minimum Qualifications- At least 1 year of experience in the electrical craft or a combination of experience and training.
- Strong working knowledge of the electrical craft and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Applicable licenses or certifications for the jurisdiction of work.
- All necessary tools available.

- Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, and move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas.
