Irrigation Trainee

Overview

Have you been working in the irrigation industry and ready to take your career to the next level? We are looking for a detail‑oriented individual who loves working outside and has hands‑on experience in irrigation systems and lawn care.

As a Ryan Irrigation trainee, you'll install, service, repair irrigation systems, and provide excellent customer service. The role includes installation of residential and commercial irrigation systems and support maintenance.

• Assist with installation of residential and commercial irrigation systems (spray heads, rotors, drip, valves, controllers).
• Help perform start‑ups, mid‑season checks, and winterizing/blowouts.
• Support troubleshooting and basic repairs, including leaks, broken heads, and wiring issues under supervision.
• Dig trenches, pull pipe, backfill, and restore turf and beds after work is completed.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, pipe, fittings, and other materials on trucks and in the yard.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe job site.

• 2 years of irrigation experience preferred.
• Certified Irrigation Technician preferred but not required.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn new skills.
• Team player, committed to excellent customer service.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Ability to install crew or manage a service route.

• Full‑time, year‑around employment with starting compensation $50,000 to $60,000 based on experience.
