. This position is a Baseload Maintenance Industrial Rigger for the Cheniere site in Cameron, LA. No per‑diem is offered and a current driver license and TWIC are required.

Riggers will be responsible for the lifting and movement of heavy equipment and materials. They will inspect all applicable rigging, plan lifts using the weight of the load, equipment capacity, and other relevant information, attach loads using slings, chains, cables, hooks, shackles, and other equipment, and signal the operator during lifts.

• Must have 4+ years’ experience as a Journeyman Rigger.
• Must possess all required knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA).
• Must have or complete the NCCO/NCCER Rigging assessment.
• Must meet all physical requirements.
• Must be able to work at heights in excess of 300 ft.
• Must have all required tools.
• Must have reliable transportation.

• Act as safety observer on equipment lifts.
• Inspect all rigging equipment.
• Plan or assist in planning of lifts.
• Attach loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.
• Tie rope around load for guiding during lifting and positioning.
• Signal equipment operator during lifts for directional or placement instructions.
• Guide load during lift and positioning.
• Climb structures to guide and position load.
• Assist in connecting or stabilizing load prior to detaching from equipment.
• Detach loads and remove rigging equipment.
• Place and remove outrigger pads from cranes and other heavy equipment.

• Must have specific knowledge of rigging equipment and their capacities.
• Must have knowledge of required tools and their proper use.
• Must be a team player with effective communication skills.
• Must have basic knowledge of construction processes involved in heavy industrial construction.
• Must be able to use problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to resolve safety risks.
• Must know proper hand signals to communicate with equipment operators.
• Must understand lift planning, including equipment selection and load capacities.
• Must hold an NCCER certification for Rigging or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Must have basic transportation knowledge for moving equipment and loads.
• Must know arithmetic required for lift planning.
• Must be willing to follow all company directives and safety procedures.
• Must be able to work at heights.
• Must have reliable transportation.

• Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee.
• Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
• Experience working as an Industrial Ironworker.

This position does not have any direct reports but works closely with helper and labor positions and has authority over those roles.

• Stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift for large amounts of time.
• Communicate verbally and use arm and hand signals.
• Use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, and move objects with up to 70 ft‑lbs of pressure.
• Lift, carry, and move up to 50 lb.
• Work at heights, climb ladders and platforms, use man lifts, and occasionally work on open structures with fall protection.
• Have good visual acuity and depth perception.
• Work outside in changing weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
• Wear required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves, and work boots.
