Security Officer

Job Description

The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Security Officer Level 1 is also responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons, employees and company assets. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive position. It is a job or position where the team member holding this position has the responsibility for his/her own safety and/or the safety of others.

• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal customers.
• Ensure the safety and security of all customers and employees and their assets.
• Maintain safety and security of the parking grounds.
• Manage General Escorts, Security Dispatch, and Security Podiums.
• Transport money, chips, tokens and markers.
• Control access to restricted areas, including checking identifications.
• Monitor patron and employee passage in and out of the casino.
• Check for and report safety hazards.
• Create a clean, safe, friendly, and fun atmosphere for all guests and employees.
• Meet departmental goals as set by the company or Security Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as requested by management.

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of policies and procedures and conform to company standards within 90 days of hire.
• Obtain and retain a valid Level II license issued by Missouri Gaming.
• Possess average written and oral communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in customer service preferred.
• Obtain CPR/AED certification.
