The Armed
Security Officer is responsible for supporting daily security operations to ensure the safety of our customers, staff, and facility. This role plays an essential part in monitoring the premises, managing visitor access, observing security systems, and maintaining compliance with all applicable Missouri cannabis regulations.

This is a frontline role that requires professionalism, alertness, and a strong attention to detail.
Armed Security Officers will work directly with the Security Manager to uphold BUDD's safety protocols and support a secure, welcoming environment for everyone.

• Greet and monitor all guests, staff, vendors, and delivery personnel entering the dispensary.
• Verify identification and maintain control of access to secure and restricted areas.
• Perform regular perimeter checks and in-store walkthroughs to monitor for safety or security risks.
• Observe and report using surveillance equipment and logbooks.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and medical/emergency situations calmly and professionally.
• Document all incidents, unusual activities, or rule violations and report them to the Security Manager.
• Assist with secure storage and oversight of inventory and product movement as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services (DHSS) cannabis regulations.
• Support secure deliveries and transfer operations in coordination with store leadership.
• Promote a welcoming environment while ensuring rules and procedures are consistently followed.
• Attend team training sessions and remain informed about emergency response protocols.

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or regulated retail preferred.
• Must be proficient in using a side arm.
• Must be knowledgeable with the use of force continuum.
• Must be able to pass FBI fingerprinting and background check per state cannabis regulations.
• Excellent communication, observation, and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and follow procedures accurately.
• Must be physically capable of standing or walking for long periods and lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Comfortable working in bright, dark, or high-volume environments.
• Flexible schedule – including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
