Promoting and practicing fire and safety prevention. Performing all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Education:

• High School Diploma
• 18 years of age or older

Licensure:

• Valid State driver's license
• Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required

Experience:

• Meets or surpasses all requirements of Public Safety Officer II
• Annual satisfactory completion of Functional Job Screening

Other Skills and Knowledge:

• Has completed at least 12 months of active employment with Mercy Public Safety/Security Department (or equivalent training, education and/or job experience)
• Completed Law Enforcement, Public Safety or Security report writing class (independent of licensure class)
• Completed Law Enforcement, Public Safety or Security criminal law class (independent of licensure class)
• Completed Law Enforcement, Public Safety or Security criminal investigation class (independent of licensure class)
• No written warnings for policy or procedure violations in the previous (6) six months prior to advancement

Education:

• College degree

Licensure:

• Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required

Experience:

• Previous Security, Military or Law Enforcement experience

Other Skills and Knowledge:

• Annual satisfactory completion of Functional Job Screening
