Job Description
The University of California, Santa Cruz is seeking a Residential Community Service Partner (Sub) to provide residential safety and security services for the Residential Community Service Program (RCSP). The program operates seven nights a week, 365 nights a year, from 7:00 pm through 3:00 am.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nightly foot patrols, completing nightly lockup, maintaining the security of assigned keys, and responding to radio calls as directed by Dispatch. They will also provide assistance and support to residents as needed, identify and mitigate any unsafe conditions or health risks encountered, and contact a Residential Community Service Partner Safety for direction on all non-routine occurrences.
The candidate will be required to log and report community observances, provide written documentation of all policy violations, community/resident interactions, incidents, radio calls, emergencies, occurrences, and observations, and must be familiar with and ready to enact the campus Student Services Disaster Operations Committee (SSDOC) procedures.
The ideal candidate will have customer service experience, strong interpersonal skills, excellent writing skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. They will also be required to possess CPR/First Aid/AED certification or have the ability to obtain it within 60 calendar days of hire, and must have a valid license to drive in the state of California.
