Overview
We’re partnering with a growing organization in the life sciences space to hire a Sales Representative (Life Sciences) to build and expand a new West Coast territory
. This is a high-visibility role for someone who enjoys autonomy, relationship-building, and selling into technical, scientific environments.
- Base Salary: $75,000–$125,000 (depending on experience)
- Commission: 2%–6% on new business
- Commission Cap: None (uncapped earning potential)
- Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, retirement plan, and paid time off
The company has successfully built a strong presence in the Boston/Cambridge biotech market and is now looking to replicate that success across the West Coast.
What You’ll Be Doing- Own and develop a West Coast territory (all states west of the Mississippi)
- Build relationships with:
- Biotech and life sciences companies
- Research labs
- Colleges and universities
- Sell laboratory and life sciences equipment/services using a consultative, trust-based approach
- Drive new business through outbound outreach and warm leads
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
- Collaborate internally to ensure solutions align with customer needs
- Track pipeline, activity, and performance using CRM tools
- Stay current on industry trends, lab workflows, and equipment knowledge
You’ll be the only sales representative on the West Coast
, making this an ideal role for someone who wants ownership, impact, and the opportunity to help shape a growing territory.
- Experience in life sciences, biotech, or laboratory-focused sales
, or - A former lab professional or lab manager interested in moving into a customer-facing sales role
- Strong understanding of lab environments, terminology, and equipment
- Ability to build trust with highly technical and scientific stakeholders
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, territory-based role
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills
- Experience opening or growing a territory is a plus, but not required
- Opportunity to build and own a new territory
